Group Leader, Pat Haber
Join with others who are struggling with graft-versus-host disease in this six week telephone support group.
Led by therapist and transplant survivor, Pat Haber, The group will address:
- practical topics about living with graft-versus-host disease
- the impact of GVHD on relationships with family and friends, and intimacy
- managing the emotional challenges of living with GVHD
- for some sessions a GVHD medical expert will be on-hand to answer questions from group members.
Due to the high demand for this group, members will be asked to commit to attending all six sessions. Participants will also be asked to agree to keep all group conversations confidential.
To keep the conversation manageable, the group will be limited to 12 participants. Others interested in participating will be put on a waiting list and have the first opportunity to register for future groups.

About the group leader, Pat Haber
Pat Haber LMSW, LMFT is a licensed therapist and 23-year transplant survivor. In 1995, she underwent a bone marrow transplant at Karmanos Cancer Center, and has first-hand experience with GVHD.
Pat has led many support groups throughout her career, and coordinates the networking groups at BMT InfoNet's Celebrating a Second Chance at Life Survivorship Symposium, where participants share the joys and challenges of surviving a transplant.
