Background: Dr. Johnson is currently in private practice after recently retiring from her position as Associate Professor at the University of Illinois at Peoria, and as Director of Psycho-Oncology, Supportive Services and Survivorship at the OSF Healthcare System in Peoria. She has led the psycho-oncology programs at The University of Oklahoma, The University of Kansas and at St. Luke's Medical Center. She is very familiar with issues faced by transplant patients, and also has some experience helping patients going through CAR T-cell therapy. She is familiar with side effects of transplant including graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), secondary cancers, relapse, end of life concerns and grief and bereavement. Dr. Johnson is also a certified sex therapist.
