Background: Dr. Adams directs a multi-disciplinary clinic within the Blood and Marrow Transplant Program at Phoenix Children's Hospital, that caters to the specific needs of patients who have experienced Graft vs Host Disease. We provide a comprehensive evaluation and management program and discuss strategies to reduce immunosuppression while focusing on nutrition, exercise, management of joint and muscle aches, address chronic fatigue and reducing infection risk.
Our team includes a Physician and Physician Assistant for evaluation and treatment in collaboration with our subspecialty support from Nephrology, Pulmonology, Endocrinology, Dermatology, Ophthalmology, Nursing, Dental Hygienist, Physical and Occupational Therapy, Social Work, Mental Health Counselor and School Teacher who understand the unique needs of patients with Graft vs Host Disease and Transplant Survivors.
