Background: Dr. Renteria completed a BMT fellowship at Mount Sinai Hospital, NY and worked at the institution for several years in the BMT service, caring for patients undergoing autologous and allogeneic HCT, as well as CAR T-cell therapies. She was the PI and co-PI for several clinical trials, including trials for acute and chronic GVHD management. She established the hospital guidelines for acute GVHD management. Participated in the publication of several papers about GVHD.
