Background: Dr. Benson completed his fellowship at VCU with an emphasis on treating patients with cellular therapies and their complications. Now in clinical practice in Boise St. Lukes Center for Blood Cancer Therapy, he continues as a transplant physician and treats patients with acute and chronic GVHD. He actively follows research to give patient's the most up to date treatment possible. He works in collaboration with specialists and interdisciplinary team members also experienced in monitoring and managing GVHD (pulmonology, endocrinology, dermatology, ophthalmology, nurse navigation, pharmacy, physical therapy, social work, nutrition, psychiatry and the pheresis team). Our clinic offers a transplant survivorship clinic and can work with patients not transplanted at our medical center.
