Background: Dr. Sunshine is an ophthalmologist, cornea and ocular surface specialist who is focused on treating patients with ocular graft vs host disease. She has a unique and specialized clinic within our University of Maryland Greenebaum Comprehensive Cancer Center dedicated to patients with ocular GVHD and ocular complications from cancer therapy. Dr. Sunshine has also spearheaded clinical trials in ocular GVHD at the University of Maryland and lead a research laboratory to work to improve outcomes for patients with and at-risk-for ocular GVHD.
