Background: Dr. Clemente is a heath psychologist whose experience with bone marrow transplantation stems from an internship in the Oncology/Hematology Department at Rady Children's Hospital in San Diego where he worked with transplant patients and their families during the first 12 months after transplant. He is familiar with graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) but has not yet worked with patients who have had CAR T-cell therapy. He has helped patients and families cope with secondary cancers, relapse, end of life issues and grief and bereavement.
