Background: Dr. Stutz is a pediatric psychologist who is passionate about providing high quality therapy to children and families affected by chronic illness and bone marrow/stem cell transplantation or CAR T-cell therapy. She is familiar with issues patients face through all phases of treatment, and has experience with post-transplant issues including graft-versus-host disease (GVHD), relapse, survivorship, end of life concerns and grief and bereavement. Having worked in children’s hospitals throughout her career, Dr. Stutz understands the medical team perspective of patient centered care, as well as the patient experience during a stressful treatment period. Dr. Stutz has additional training and certification in various evidence-based practices and adapts them successfully to youth with chronic illness and their parents. Dr. Stutz holds certifications in Parent Child Interaction Therapy (PCIT) for young children who act out, Trauma Focused Cognitive Behavior Therapy (TF-CBT) for youth with medical trauma and their siblings, and is a certified facilitator of Child Adult Relationship Enhancement trainings for medical staff and parents.
