Background: Christine Turo-Shields has worked for decades with clients who have struggled with a host of issues. In 2018, she supported her sister who went through bone marrow transplant due to a recurrence of non-Hodgkin lymphoma, and understands first-hand, the emotional impact of each phase of transplant from diagnosis through recovery. She is familiar with post-transplant issues such as second cancers, relapse and grief and bereavement. She has not yet worked with patients who have graft-versus-host disease or who have been through CAR T-cell therapy.
