Steve

To my fellow survivors, “Make a Difference! Enjoy the good moments and the good days! Your presence and your stories make our lives better as we travel this troubled plane. For a time.”

Living with GVHD gives us a choice, whether to practice resilience by doing the things that help, or to withdraw and engage a downward arc leading to isolation and an earlier ending. For me, Hope springs eternal because I am surrounded by so many bright and loving saints. I choose not to leave them yet because I am alive, I am loved, I am able to make a difference from volunteer engagement with key blood cancer organizations through coaching and research to improve our understanding of this troublesome, unforeseen and unwanted journey, upon which we unwitting, suddenly embark. I say to all, and especially to my fellow survivors, “Make a Difference! Enjoy the good moments and the good days! Your presence and your stories make our lives better as we travel this troubled plane. For a time.”
