While GVHD has taken over a portion of my life, I am grateful for all the hardworking Doctors, Nurses, Nurse Practitioners and staff at Dana Farber Cancer Institute who are part of my care. Their encouragement and dedication to GVHD gives me hope. I am fortunate that there are so many new medications that fight GVHD and the study that I am a part of for lung GVHD. My inspiration to fight is in the faces of our 17 grandchildren. I vowed long ago when I was diagnosed to see each and every one of them graduate from high school. It's a long way to go but I am hoping that with the ever evolving studies and new meds for GVHD I will fulfill that wish!
