Background: Dr. Cowen leads the NIH Dermatology Consultation Service. He is an internationally recognized expert in cutaneous (skin) graft-versus-host disease and was a founding member of the NIH chronic GVHD program. Dr. Cowen is interested in skin-directed treatments for patients with chronic GVHD and has an active protocol studying topical ruxolitinib
