Background: Dr. Liu is the Director of the Dana Farber Cancer Institute/Brigham and Women's GVHD Clinic. The clinic provides comprehensive, world-class care in the diagnosis and management of cutaneous complications that arise from stem cell transplantation. Patients present with acute and chronic manifestations from their transplant, including inflammatory rashes, sclerosis of the skin, ulcerations and wounds, and secondary skin cancers. The clinic also manages drug reactions that may arise from post-transplant therapies and infections of the skin. The care of GVHD patients involves use of novel skin-directed therapies, and/or immunosuppressants, phototherapy, extracorporeal photopheresis and clinical trials. .
