Background: Many bone marrow transplant recipients are prone to developing endocrine related conditions and diseases. These include metabolic syndrome, pre diabetes, diabetes, weight maintenance issues, hormonal imbalance, chronic steroid exposure or other hormonal imbalances. It has been one of my main areas of interest to screen the patients at high risk to develop these conditions and intervene early on to prevent or treat them early. This will improve the health outcomes in long term and add to quality of life of these patients.
