Background: Dr. Smith is the Medical Director of Cancer Rehabilitation services at the University of Michigan. He has extensive experience managing impairments in GVHD patients including weakness from steroid use (steroid myopathy), tightness and reduced range of motion and a variety of pain issues. Using a patient-centered, holistic approach to care, his team of specialists can identify problems unique to GVHD patients and restore quality of life. They use novel interventions for fascial/sclerotic cGVHD and offer a range of outpatient and inpatient treatments.
