Background: Working with hematologists at City of Hope, Dr. Horak helps assess and treat acute and chronic lung diseases in patients with GVHD. These lung diseases include peri-engraftment syndrome, pulmonary edema, acute respiratory failure, various pulmonary infections, diffuse alveolar hemorrhage, idiopathic pneumonia syndrome, non-specific interstitial pneumonitis and bronchiolitis obliterans syndrome post transplant.
