Background: Dr. Sharma completed his Pediatric Oncology-BMT training at the Hospital for Sick Children in Toronto Canada where 80-100 patients underwent stem cell and cellular therapy procedures every year. He not only had an opportunity to follow these patient just after transplant, having acute GVHD and other complications, but also later when they had chronic GHVD issues. The BMT follow up clinic, including the long term follow up, clinic gave him exposure to the entire spectrum of clinical GVHD and its sequelae, including therapeutic interventions.
