Background: Ms. Paster-Kinnicutt was a clinical social worker at UC San Francisco Medical Center in the outpatient Hematology/BMT clinic for 4+ years. She worked with all patients and families from initial diagnosis and initiation of treatment, through assessing for BMT, preparing for BMT, through hospitalization, post discharge and into survivorship. She has worked extensively with patients dealing with GVHD, those who received photopheresis treatment, and those whose GVHD limited their lives in many ways. She has also led blood cancer/BMT patient and caregiver support groups, and has trained patients on managing difficult emotions during cancer treatment, and on how to have conversations with children about their loved one’s cancer diagnosis. She is now provides Telehealth in North Shore of Boston.
