Background: Rich (he/him) has extensive experience working with adult and pediatric transplant patients as well as children treated with CAR T-cell therapy. He provides compassionate care that is informed by many years of experience in health and mental health settings.
He worked five years at a pediatric stem-cell transplant program and three years at an adult stem cell transplant program. He is familiar with issues patients face from diagnosis through the first two years after treatment, and has helped patients dealing with mild to severe graft-versus-host disease.
Rich completed a Masters in Social Work from Loyola University/Chicago and a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology with a minor in Theology at Concordia University/River Forest. He trained as a sex therapist with Domeena Renshaw MD (pioneering sex therapy researcher and clinician and the author of “7 Week to Better Sex”) at Loyola University School of Medicine. Rich is informed by feminist theories. He integrates the bio-psycho-social-and-spiritual spheres of a client’s life in individual, couples, and group therapy.
