Background: Dr. Baca-Chieza was formerly the director of the psycho-oncology program at Rocky Mountain Cancer Institute (now Colorado Blood Cancer Institute). She is very knowledgeable about stem cell transplantation from diagnosis through long-term survivorship. She has worked with patients who have graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) as well, as well as the patient's caregiver. Her experience with patients undergoing CAR T-cell therapy is more limited.
