Background: Dr. Eichenfield worked as a psychologist at the University of Minnesota Medical School in the Department of Psychiatry where he worked for several years with pediatric bone marrow transplant patients. He is very familiar with bone marrow transplantation from the time of diagnosis through long-term survivorship. He has worked with patients who are dealing with mild graft-versus-host disease, relapse, second cancers, end of life issues and grief/bereavement. He has not yet worked with patients who have undergone CAR T-cell therapy.
