Background: Dr. Lomax has several years of experience helping stem cell transplant patients. Prior to starting her private practice, she spent three years as a team psychologist with the University of Colorado BMT team. She then became the Director of Psychosocial Oncology for a community hospital and cancer center for seven years.
She is familiar with issues faced by stem cell transplant patients, and their caregivers, from diagnosis through survivorship including relapse, end of life and grief and bereavement. She is familiar with graft-versus-host disease (GVHD) although her experience working with GVHD patients is more limited. She has not yet worked with patients undergoing CAR T-cell therapy.
