Because of my lung GVHD, a basic thing like breathing is a huge task for me but I am fighting this!

Tell us how GVHD is affecting your life.
I have had several Acute and Chronic GVHDs, but most of them have resolved or are under control. But the chronic Lung GVHD is quite severe and affects my daily life significantly. I get frequent moderate to severe infections, often requiring hospitalisation. I cannot walk long distances, cannot climb on slopes, can't go to higher altitudes, and even lots of daily basic tasks are a challenge! There is so much uncertainty in my health conditions, one day I'm relatively fine and the other day I am quite sick!

What is your message of hope? What inspires you to continue the fight against GVHD?
Because of my lung GVHD, a basic thing like breathing is a huge task for me but I am fighting this!
Last year I was admitted thrice, went into ICU twice and had a major lung surgery. My condition deteriorated so much that I could not walk even a single step. I thought I'll have to be on the wheelchair for the rest of my life, but with lots of support, blessings, strong will power and proper exercise sessions, today I can walk again. I still have very weak lungs but at least I can travel again.
So don't lose hope. This is a very tough path but you can make yourself tougher than this too!
