There's a new tool in the fight against cancer: Immunotherapy.
Immunotherapy is a type of treatment that supercharges the patient's own immune system to destroy cancer cells.
It is different from chemotherapy or radiation. It is also different from a stem cell transplant.
There are many forms of immunotherapy being studied by scientists but the one drawing most attention is Chimeric Antigen Receptor T-cell therapy or CAR T-cell therapy.
